Responsibilities will also include Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities, along with 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) and other required activities. Effective 1/1/2024, the compensation for this skilled trade position is $37.42/hr. Medical, Dental, Vision benefits offered from first day of employment. 12 paid holidays/year. 1 week of vacation after 6 months. 2 weeks vacation after 12 months. Shift assigned by 1) business need 2) seniority and 3) preference. Shifts are M-F 6:30-2:30 pm and M-F 2:30pm-10:30pm. Teammates must be able to work either day and night shift as we cannot guarantee shift preferences. Nightwork Differential of $1.00/hr for all hours worked between 6pm and 6am. 401K Age Plus Service contributions from the company. Hourly Pay: $37.42 Location: Akron, OH **Responsibilities** Responsibilities: + Comply with all safety regulations + Preventative Maintenance (continuous improvement) + Troubleshooting Mechanical, Electronic, and Electrical Industrial Equipment + Perform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating Technicians + Perform Maintenance on Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatic and Electrical Equipment + Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) + Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment and systems + Use computer based software to enter, track and analyze work activities and maintenance trends + Read and use blueprints, schematics, manuals, technical drawings, work orders, test results, machine error messages. + Test fixed machinery + Clean and lubricate parts + Other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications: n/a **Minimum Qualifications** + Applicants must be 18 years of age or older + 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in a multi-craft environment; OR 3+ years of high-tech maintenance related military experience; OR Completed apprenticeship program and 2+ years industrial maintenance experience; OR Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, General Technology, Robotics, or related field and 2+ years industrial maintenance experience + Ability to function effectively in a team environment and work independently + Maintain a clean and organized working environment + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Wear required personal protective equipment including but not limited to flame-retardant clothing, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses, and occasionally a respirator. + Adhere to facilities Safe Work Practices including but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out, line breaking, hot work, and confined space + Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of at least one of the following skill groups and demonstrate basic working knowledge of the other: comprehension of two of the four following basic skills and have a working knowledge of the others: **Mechanical** - bearings, mechanical power transmission, chain drives, belt drives, gear drives, couplings, mechanical fasteners, packing and seals, pumps, conveyors, pipe fittings and valves, boilers, steam lines and traps, fabrication, and welding, etc. principles of hydraulic and pneumatic power, hydraulic fluids, piping and sealing, process piping, reservoirs, actuators, directional controls, servo valves, pressure controls, volume controls, pumps, motors, filtration, air compressors, etc. **Electrical** - basic circuit laws, measurements and safety, circuit components, magnetism and electromagnetism, power distribution systems, AC power, capacitance, inductance, transformers, switchboards, motor control centers, busways, etc. Familiar with NEC codes. programmable controllers, semiconductor devices, transducers, power supplies, junction transistors, amplifiers **Required Physical Activities and Working Conditions.** Standing, walking, lifting and carrying 50 lbs. without assistance, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, use of hands and feet, fine motor manipulation. May be exposed to noise, vibration, odors, and dust. Work may be done indoors and outdoors. Some work is confining, greasy, dirty and performed in high and low temperatures and mechanical hazards.
