Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician 

Maintains a strong performance level of completing tasks to meet scheduled requirements and business objectives. Completes maintenance related functions: Troubleshoots Mechanical, Pneumatic, Electrical (including PLC) and Hydraulic Systems to repair machine equipment during unexpected and expected downtime events Complete PM schedule that ensures machine robustness and maximum uptime Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime Proactively analyzes machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems before they occur Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime Maintain maintenance related records Co-ordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades cost Provide input and ensure completion of continuous improvement projects Perform  facilities maintenance Maintains clear written records Creates and maintains a safe and secure work environment Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year Flexible and able to adjust quickly to changing demands and requests.  Accepts new tasks as an opportunity for growth, embraces production challenges, and supports the business needs.  Focused continuous personal development of new skills and capabilities as business needs arise and change.

MINIUMUM KNOWLEDGE AND BACKGROUND REQUIRMENTS                                                                                                                        

Courses in Maintenance related discipline; Electrical certification or industrial electronics education preferred Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of Mechanical, Pneumatic, Electrical and Hydraulic Systems Allen Bradley PLC programming experience preferred Experience with total productive maintenance systems (TPM) preferred. Machining experience preferred Minimum 5 years’ experience in Maintenance position in automotive industry preferred Familiar with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office and Preventative Maintenance software preferred Strong time management, sense of urgency, and organizational skills preferred
