POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of facility and production equipment.    

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

Follow all Safety protocols within the nVenia facility. Perform corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems & equipment. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments. Utilize gages and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions. Utilize hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, reassemble and test components and machinery. Test equipment after service and/or repair. Maintain and complete maintenance and repair record updates. Maintain and update spare parts records.    Move and/or replace machinery using forklifts, cranes, dollies, etc. Other duties may be assigned.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

•    An AA in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
•    Minimum 2 years’ experience in machine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for a minimum of 10 hours per day on concrete.  The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle, and feel objects, control and manage tools, and use hands and arms.  The employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, bend, crawl, lay flat on the ground, twist, lift hands overhead, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times loud.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
