We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician at our aerospace facility in Jacksonville, FLA.  The primary focus of this position is to perform component installation, system maintenance and repair work as assigned and carry out preventive maintenance and service as required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform preventative & planned maintenance on manufacturing floor equipment and lines as directed.  Obtain tools, material, and equipment for carrying out work assignments on electro-mechanical systems, control devices and related equipment.  Equipment includes: Air compressors and systems, Vacuum pumps and systems, Bulk nitrogen systemEnsures quality and workmanship of repairAssist others responsible for complex installation, overhaul and repair projects in preparing materials and operating equipmentAssist others working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skillsCompleted the daily work area clean upPrompt reporting of malfunctioning equipment and machinesWorking within EH&S guidelines as defined by OSHATraining, obtaining, and maintaining licenses, operator permits, and certifications (as necessary)Participation in Company and Department sponsored EH&S and Quality initiativesOccasional exposure to chemicals, wearing a respirator when required
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:HS Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience OR> AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience.  Must have maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environmentMust be able to perform planned/preventative maintenanceElectrician / Electrical certification or HVAC ExperienceExperience in the Aerospace Industry perferredDue to the nature of the work, candidates must be a US Citizen. 


Physical Requirements & Work Environment:Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PMAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
