Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician at Nursery Supplies, Inc., you'll oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery. We will provide you with the knowledge you will need for the future. \n\nPerforming preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines\nThoroughly cleaning machines and machine parts, removing parts, and reinstalling as necessary\nYou will put oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance\nRecords and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts\nOrders and installs replacement parts for machines. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines\nRepairs broken machines quickly and efficiently\nPrepares reports documenting work performed\nCleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies\nCoordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines\nCollaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required\nMakes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required\nYou'll work with a dedicated team, contributing to the overall success of our maintenance department\n\n

What We Value:\n\nApplying general maintenance and repair principles and practices\n\n\nGood understanding of pumps, hydraulics, gears, sprockets, transmissions, and chain driven equipment \n\n\nReading and applying blueprints, schematics, and other information\n\n\nElectrical and mechanical experience a must\nApplying general maintenance and repair principles and practices\nOperating a variety of hand power and power equipment\nAbility to apply various principles and practices in a variety of skilled-trades areas\nComplying with safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures\nCommunicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction\nMust have good performance work history and excellent attendance history\nMust be self-motivated\n\n

Education and Experience:\n\nHigh School Diploma: The foundation of your journey.\nAdditional Experience: Two (2) years' experience in Industrial Maintenance \n\n

Physical Requirements:\n\nPositions in this class typically require: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. \n\n
