Job Description

Tilson is looking to add team members to our National Maintenance Program, as a Maintenance Technician. This position includes frequent travel to client markets and will participate in the maintenance of wireless equipment and structures as a member of a tiger team. The fast-paced Wireless Maintenance field is continuing to grow and provide advancement opportunities as customer technologies expand to 5G and beyond. Tilson highly values transferable skills from military experience (radioman, comm techs, field radio personnel).

Responsibilities: 

Supports the maintenance of cell towers, small cells, outdoor distributed antenna system (oDAS) and other wireless equipment and structures, as a member of a 2-3 person team.Completes scopes of work assigned by the Maintenance Lead while ensuring safety, quality, timelines and financial expectations are met while ensuring proper operation of client equipment.Part of the Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP), which is approximately one year of full-time on-the-job training. Credit for previous work can be applied.Onsite support and training will include:Installation and removal of antennas and remote radio headsSteel Components, microwaves, coaxial cable, fiber jumpers, radio frequency (RF) jumpers, remote electrical down-tiltsFiber/DC Hybrid cablesSweep and passive intermodulation (PIM) testingSite audits and maintenance tasksTroubleshooting and repairsSupport for ensuring safe work conditions and adhering to Tilson safety protocols

Qualifications: 

Previous training and/or 36 months experience climbing telecommunications towers preferred, transferable military jobs (radioman, comm techs, field radio personnel) strongly encouraged to apply.Familiarity with all major carriers (VZW, Sprint, T-Mobile, Ericson and AT&T)Excellent safety recordAble to climb up to 200+ feet into the air on telecommunications antennasValid driver’s license preferredAble to work in varying weather conditions

Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson’s driving eligibility requirements.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

$20.00 - $30.00
