Maintenance Technician

Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Dallas, Texas

Compensation: $24 - 40/hour (This is the expected salary range for this finger-lickin’ good role. We'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors to determine your pay.)

Order Up! Process work orders from our restaurant teams, prioritize, and schedule visits in sync with our Operations staff and Maintenance Leader. Keep Us Stocked: Maintain van parts inventory and a central warehouse full of tools and supplies, so you're always ready to swoop in and save the day. Fix It to Perfection: Tackle repairs and routine maintenance work, ensuring everything meets KFC's golden standard. Stay Sharp: Perform preventative maintenance assessments in your certified areas of expertise. Accessibility is Key: Conduct periodic ADA audits and take action to keep our restaurants compliant. Mind the Books: Track parts purchases and ensure billing is processed correctly. Level Up: Grow your technical skills and competencies to expand your ability to maintain even more of our restaurant assets. Team Up: Partner with the Maintenance Leader on big repairs that require deeper diagnostics or might exceed budget. Ready When Needed: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including nights and weekends, because when things go wrong, we need you to make it right!

Do You Have the Secret Recipe?

Education:  High school diploma or GED required.  Got formal trade-related training/education or certifications? Even better! Experience with restaurant equipment and some HVAC/mechanical, refrigeration knowledge is a plus, but not required. Experience:  3+ years of hands-on experience working in multi-unit facility maintenance or equipment repair. Skills: Experience in restaurant equipment, electrical, plumbing, and building repairs. You know how to plan and prioritize like a pro, even in a self-directed environment.  Stellar written and verbal communication skills are a must.  You’re all about customer service and solving problems fast.  Curiosity and a hunger to learn how things work will take you far.  Basic computer skills? Check! Experience with Outlook and Excel? Double-check!  And you’re familiar with inventory control practices. License to Drive: A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is essential.
