We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Maintenance Specialist for our client. In this critical role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining production machines and plant operations equipment, troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and leading lean initiatives such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED). This position also involves being an Energy Champion, leading sustainability projects, and training new maintenance hires. **Job Title: Maintenance Techncian** **Location: Irvine, CA** **Pay Range: $48.88 - $52.00/hr** **What’s the Job?** + Install, maintain, and repair production machines and plant operations equipment. + Lead and participate in problem-solving efforts for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, supporting failure investigations. + Drive lean initiatives including TPM and SMED, acting as a subject matter expert, and leading Kaizen initiatives. + Champion energy efficiency and waste reduction projects, tracking data in relevant databases. + Lead all maintenance training efforts for new hires and assist in troubleshooting. + Provide input during the early stages of capital equipment projects and communicate facility requirements. + Assist with planning and scheduling maintenance activities and resources. + Establish and execute plant maintenance system standards and preventative maintenance processes. + Manage waste and hazardous materials disposal in compliance with regulations and company policy. **What’s Needed?** + High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or trade school certification is a plus. + Minimum of 10+ years of experience or equivalent demonstrated competency in Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic systems. + Expertise in troubleshooting PLC ladder logic, CNC equipment, and complex schematics and electrical drawings. + Experience with welding, Molding Compression, Ovens, Material Cutting Machines, HVAC, and Refrigeration. + Basic computer knowledge, including SAP software proficiency. + Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma Kaizen and willingness to learn new lead responsibilities. + Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and short-notice shift coverage. + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and meet frequent physical demands of the job. **What’s in it for me?** + Lead important projects that drive sustainability and operational excellence. + Excellent pay rate + Weekly pay If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
