Maintenance Technician

 

 

OVERVIEW:
Installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of broadcast equipment and systems at a top-10 market television station duopoly! Provide support of station operations in major station efforts or special projects as needed. 


QUALIFICATIONS: 

Candidates should have knowledge of IT, HDSDI television systems, and equipment found in a television plant. Experience in Avid iNews, Avid interplay, and video compression systems. Experience with microwave, satellite, and two-way radio systems. Working knowledge of AVID, iNews, communications equipment, robotic camera pedestals, Sony studio cameras, and Sony digital production switchers. Core HD/IP, SMPTE 2110 router knowledge is a plus. Experience with Bonded Cellular and transcoding platforms. Work with vendors and manufacturers to research and address support issues. The ability to work independently at times and partnered with other engineering teams is critical. The candidate needs a basic understanding of Windows, Linux command line, and Mac OS. The candidate should be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite and understanding of CAD software. A minimum of three years of experience as a television or cable systems maintenance engineer. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. SBE certification is preferred. Work schedules are subject to change, must be able to work late hours, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed.
