\n \n Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostlyexterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition toother exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safelymaintained.

\n

\n

Work hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.

\n

Travel to multiple sites within the DMV to perform general maintenance technician tasks, such as light plumbing, light electrical, and light carpentry work.

\n

\n

Daily responsibilities:

\n

\n\nPerform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently andthat the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.\nPerform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs toensure that the building is properly maintained.\nClean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors,gutters and drains.\nOperate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.\nMaintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.), if applicable.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required.\n3 -- 5 years of directly related or closely related experience.\nTraveling within the DMV is required (no overnights). Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record are required.\nMust be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and clients.\nKnowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting,regulations, etc.);electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation,safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.).\nKnowledge of OSHA, State or local government worksite and personal safety requirements.\nProfessional customer service AND communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nInterpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.\nTime management and time critical prioritization skills.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.\nMay be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level,hammer, etc.).\n\n
