Hiring in Durham for a Maintenance Technician for an immediate start. This is a Direct Hire (not temp). The position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and prompting repairs of facilities and mechanical or electrical equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Provide preventive maintenance and prompt repairs on conveyor system, forklifts, HVAC, and any other equipment needed for the warehouse operations to run smoothly • Oversee outside contractual labor • Obtain bids for any equipment or special projects SPECIFIC WORK TASK: • Monthly maintenance tasks, including oil conveyor • Quarterly maintenance tasks such as changing AC filters, servicing forklifts, and removing covers and greasing bearings • Equipment repair and preventive maintenance • Test sprinkler system • Oversee outside contractor work • Repair plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems • Maintenance and testing of sprinkler systems, fire pump, backflow valve, and alarm systems • Obtain bids for contract work, materials, or equipment for special projects • Assist in other job functions as needed • Maintain cleanliness of shop and other work areas **KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:** • Trade certification highly preferred • 5+ years of relative experience required.
