**Industrial Maintenance Mechanics in the Richmond, VA area!** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Technician, you will be diagnosing and **troubleshooting basic electrical and mechanical** problems with machinery and equipment. Your tasks will include performing basic repairs using general maintenance techniques, tools, and skills. You will also **perform preventative and predictive maintenance** functions including lubricating, aligning, adjusting, and cleaning. Your role will require **basic welding** for the repair and fabrication of mechanical equipment. You will also work on **electrical, hydraulic, PLC, combustion, and pneumatic systems** . Reading and understanding **schematics/blueprints** is a crucial part of your job. This multi-task job function includes assisting mechanics and operators as necessary and monitoring the condition of equipment, making maximum use of planned outages. **Hard Skills** + Experience with mechanical systems + Experience with electrical systems + Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems + Minor welding + Minor PLC troubleshooting + Reading and understanding schematics/blueprints **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Richmond, Virginia. **Work Environment** There are two shifts: 3 pm to 11 pm or 11 pm to 7 am. It is required to be able to train on day shift for around 6 months. The schedule is Monday-Friday but often includes overtime on Saturday/Sunday.
