Maintenance Technician Country Club Hills, IL (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=16901+Cicero+Avenue,+Suite+B+Country+Club+Hills+IL+USA+60478) Description POSITION SCOPE: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing the operation and maintenance for the machinery in our company’s facility. The Maintenance Technician will be directed on the plans, develops, implements new and revised preventative maintenance scheduling which will be scheduled by the Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Tech will also be assisting with production. This person will help by suggesting new ideas on how to improve processes. REPORTS TO: General Technician Requirements ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices. · Understands, follows, and enforces all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices. · Maintain controls for assuring successful plant performance to budgeted goals. · Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. · Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments. · Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. · Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. · Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. · Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. · Perform simple machinist skills. · Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. · Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. · Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery · Limited travel may be required · Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. · Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change. · Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. · Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. · Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: · Strong self-starter. Must be investigative by nature and willing to challenge the status quo. · Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. · Journeyman level training or equivalent in training & experience, required. · 3-5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance (warehouse equipment, and grounds), required. · HVAC, plumbing and electrical certification, preferred. · Provide leadership to full-time and temporary staffing.
