**Shift:** Fulltime rotating 12-hour night shift (6pm-6:30am). Work three days one week, four days the next week. Off every other weekend.
**Description:** Maintenance Technicians play an important role at Diary Farmers of America in ensuring that all equipment is operating effectively and efficiently.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and/or repairs to production and processing equipment.
+ Perform preventative maintenance of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures.
+ Support the installation of new equipment.
+ Set up and adjust controllers (primarily Allen-Bradley).
+ Assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
+ Ensure all repairs are documented.
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures.
+ Follow all DFA GMP's. Clean work areas upon completing a project and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.

**Requirements**
**Education and experience:** High school diploma/GED or Technical School. Minimum of 3 years skilled industrial maintenance experience. Strong electrical background. Prior experience in a food or bottling manufacturing environment a plus.
**Knowledge, skills and abilities:**
+ Basic math skills
+ Familiar with and have working knowledge of equipment
+ Ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficient in preventative maintenance, over-hauls, modification and fabrication. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Must possess training / experience in at least two or more of the following areas:o PLC's and PLC programmingo Single and three phase industrial electricity and control systemso AC/DC drive Systemso Pneumatics / hydraulics systemso Welding practices and techniqueso Machining /fabricating practices and techniqueso Industrial boiler operationso Water Treatment Systemso HVAC Systems
