As a Maintenance Technician, you will be proficient in Mechanics and Electrical fields to work independently as well as working toward the development of other maintenance disciplines. You are expected to understand and maintain typical industrial components that are arrayed into machines that accomplish specific tasks. **Hard Skills** + Mechanics + Electrical + Preventive maintenance + Troubleshooting and repairing line equipment + Replacing P.C. boards + Programming VFD's + Diagnosing malfunctions using testing devices + Repairing and maintaining pneumatic equipment + Repairing and maintaining air compressors and other plant utility systems + Replacing/repairing hydraulic cylinders, valves, and pumps + Reading schematics and blueprints + Using power tools and hand tools **Soft Skills** + Team collaboration + Problem solving + Safety practices + Quality documentation **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Austin, Texas. **Work Environment** Climate controlled food manufacturing plant just east of downtown. Small but growing team. Lots of conveyors and distribution equipment in part of the facility, and a lot of food manufacturing equipment in the other.
