Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position significantly contributes to manufacturing operations through responsive and effective improvements and repairs to manufacturing equipment. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: In this position, you will get to: + Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all molding, stamping, assembly, packaging and auxiliary machines + Perform preventative and autonomous maintenance on equipment + Make improvements and updates to existing equipment + Initiate and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement projects + Effectively use Mapcon to document all work performed on equipment + Participate in design review activities for new and existing equipment + Maintain spare parts inventory + Maintain a clean and organized work area + Perform other duties as assigned YOU HAVE: + Ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery; which includes electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment + Capable for reading and interpreting electrical schematic PLC programs and mechanical blueprints + Ability to operate various shop equipment and hand tools to perform repairs + Knowledge of world-class manufacturing practices + General knowledge of Injection molding machines operation and processes + General knowledge of machine controls + Strong organizational skills + Working knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office, Mapcon and PLC's + 3-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience **WE HAVE:** + A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + At nVent, we believe safer systems ensure a more secure world.
