Maintenance Technician

Summary

Assists Maintenance personnel with day-to-day activities by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

Ensures quality of facility meets all set standards. Assists in repairing and maintaining physical structure of establishment. Assists in replacing damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings. Assists in installing items that deal with all functions of the casino operations. Assists in patching and painting walls. Load, unload, and assist in changing HVAC filters. Assist in keeping HVAC, kitchen equipment clean and dust free. Assure roof cleanliness by keeping roof swept and gutters and drains clear. Assist in moving lumber and materials as needed. Clean up construction debris. Assist in lifting, storing, and hanging heavy objects and materials including doors, cabinets, sheet rock, and ceiling tiles. Change light bulbs and tubes. Delivers and picks up parts, equipment and supplies from storage and vendors. Move furniture, equipment and supplies. Repairs tables, stools, chairs and office furniture by replacing or tightening loose hardware or components. Move office furniture and equipment as requested. Assemble and provide maintenance for furniture. Maintain housekeeping equipment including vacuums, sweepers, extractors, buffers, etc. by replacement of parts, electrical cords, brushes, belts, wheels and other components. Other duties as may be assigned.

 

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age. Valid California Driver’s License preferred. Slip Resistant Shoes.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; or one year specialized experience in one maintenance field, i.e.: carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, or painting; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.  Apprenticeship experience preferred.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver’s License.  Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
