Direct Hire Opportunity
2nd shift Monday – Friday 2:30p-12:30a OT as required on Saturday and Sunday
Pay Range $28-$32
Job Summary:
Maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary.
Cold temperature environment 38-42 degrees.
Experience in maintenance in food environment is a plus!
Must be able to read schematics and have electrical troubleshooting experience.
Duties/Responsibilities: Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and service on machines. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. Prepares reports documenting work performed. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines. Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. Works well independently and with others. Good communication skills. Organized with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment. Must have experience in Electrical troubleshooting and proficient in reading Schematics Education and Experience: Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required. More than 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance required.
