We are currently seeking an experiencedMaintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to the upkeep of our beautiful community. Job Overview:As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be essential in keeping our building running smoothly. You'll handle a variety of tasks like light plumbing, electrical work, painting, cleaning, and preparing units for new residents. The right candidate will have a good understanding of building systems and maintenance, and a desire to provide excellent service to our senior and disabled residents. Key Responsibilities: + General Maintenance & Repairs: Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs, ensuring all systems are functioning properly. + Unit Turns: Conduct thorough preparation and maintenance of vacant units for new residents, including painting, repairs, and cleaning. + Porter Duties: Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and exterior grounds, including trash removal and light cleaning tasks. + Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections of building systems to identify and address potential issues before they become emergencies. + On-Call Support: Be available on a biweekly on-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies after regular hours. + Resident Support: Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their maintenance needs in a timely and respectful manner. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or trade school training preferred. + Proven experience in maintenance work, particularly in a residential or multi-unit building setting. + Proficiency in light plumbing, electrical, and painting work. + Experience with unit turnover, including painting and basic repairs. + Ability to use standard maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing quality service to senior and disabled residents. + Willingness to be flexible, with the ability to work on-call during biweekly rotations and respond to emergencies as needed. + Knowledge of HUD and Section 8 guidelines is a plus, but not required.
