**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be adept at fabricating truck body parts using various tools and techniques. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints, using plasma cutters or shears, and performing MIG or Arc welding. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that all fabricated parts meet the required specifications and standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fabricate truck body parts using measurement tools and blueprints.
+ Cut materials using plasma cutters or shears.
+ Operate punch presses, drills, saws, and other tools.
+ Perform MIG and Arc welding on equipment.
+ Ensure all fabricated parts meet the required specifications and standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5 years of experience in MIG welding.
+ 5 years of experience welding on steel material.
+ 1 year of experience reading blueprints.
+ 5 years of experience using tools such as cutting tools, impact wrenches, or torches.
+ Mechanical inclination.
+ Experience in iron hanging on vehicles or trucks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Weld certifications or schooling.
+ Experience with trucks or trailers.

**Work Environment**
This is a 1st shift position working from 7 AM to 5 PM. The schedule includes 9.5-hour days from Monday to Friday and two Saturdays per month from 7 AM to 11 AM, totaling over 50 hours per week. The role involves working with snow and ice truck equipment, body repairs on buses, mail trucks, and other large heavy vehicles. Our current facility houses 30 full-time employees, fostering a collaborative and industrious atmosphere.
