**Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance on converting and paper machines. You will troubleshoot conveyors and printing presses, replace and rewire AC/DC motors from 480V to 2140V, change gear boxes and bearings, repair hydraulic systems, and perform MIG welding on steel materials. Additionally, you will troubleshoot drives and PLCs, fabricate parts using drill presses and torches, and order parts and receive work orders through CMMS.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance on converting and corrugating machines.
+ Troubleshoot conveyors and printing presses.
+ Replace and rewire AC/DC motors from 480V to 2140V.
+ Change gear boxes and bearings.
+ Repair hydraulic systems, change filters and fluids, repair brake systems.
+ Perform MIG welding on steel materials.
+ Troubleshoot drives and PLCs.
+ Fabricate parts using drill presses and torches.
+ Order parts and receive work orders through CMMS.
**Essential Skills**
+ Electrical knowledge up to 480V 3 Phase with 24V circuitry.
+ Mechanical work with industrial bearings, conveyors, or automated equipment.
+ Ability to read schematics.
+ Troubleshooting of automated equipment.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ At least 2-3 years of experience in the maintenance field.
+ Must have own tools.
+ PLC Knowledge - reading inputs/outputs.

+ Apprenticeship or formal schooling in a relevant field.

**Work Environment**
The facility is large, with converting and corrugating machines the size of a football field. It is temperature-regulated in the winter but can get hot in the summer due to the humidity from the printing presses. The manufacturing floor is kept very clean, with all scrap material directed to a pit below. The dress code includes uniforms, safety glasses, and ear plugs. You will work with a team of 20 maintenance employees, with 8 on the converting side and 12 on the corrugating side. Initial training will be on the 1st shift for three months (7am-3pm), after which you will move to an off shift. There is 1 opening on the 2nd shift and 1 opening on the 3rd shift. Maintenance is required to work every other weekend (12 days on and then 2 days off).

This is a Permanent position based out of Valparaiso, Indiana.
