Description Maintenance Technician – Baytown

Job Description

• Ability to operate, perform “basic and routine maintenance,” and troubleshoot equipment which includes the following physical activities: climbing, standing, bending, twisting and moving around stairs, ladders, platforms and various packaging and processing equipment.

• Maintenance of equipment based on written documentation pertaining to the job, including documenting all maintenance and work orders using the companies’ Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) program.

General experience and responsibilities:

Responsible for working directly with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain satisfactory up-time and optimum utilization of equipment. Help create and document preventative maintenance program procedures on all capital equipment Ability to develop specifications and makes recommendations on auxiliary and other equipment purchases o Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all facility and production equipment Ability to operate mobile equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, etc. Maintains appropriate documentation of maintenance schedules, equipment installations, structural repairs and work orders and other operating reports for facility Maintains maintenance budget including monitoring inventory and expenses Performs other related tasks and duties as assigned On call, if needed, for any maintenance related issues that could impact company’s ability to meet customer commitment. Responsible for maintaining calibration of controls and to ensure company requirements and up-times are met. Responsible for providing technical assistance on all things related to facility maintenance including electrical systems, building construction, plumbing, etc. Drives continuous improvement across all aspects of the operation Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area Maintain company grounds to insure safety and good housekeeping

Pay will be a range from $22.00 to $28.00 an hour. Based on experience and knowledge.
