**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our fleet of over 30 forklifts, conveyor belts, shredders and grinders, and plastics extrusion machinery. The role involves both preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment remain operational. This position is based in a manufacturing environment and supports all associated equipment involved in plastics manufacturing. **Responsibilities** + Minimizes production downtime by responding immediately to emergency/corrective maintenance requests. + Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and plant shutdown PM inspections to minimize unscheduled downtime. + Repairs and lubricates all equipment. + Documents, organizes, prioritizes, and schedules maintenance tasks to be performed during machine/line downtime. + Maintains good relationships with supervisors and team members to ensure cooperation. + Informs team leaders of any unsafe or unproductive work practices and escalates if necessary. + Requests and follows up on parts needed for repairs with the parts manager. + Inspects critical and safety-related procedures for compliance as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 5 years minimum industrial maintenance experience. + Basic hand tools, including Multi-meter and Amp meter. + Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics. + Ability to troubleshoot, assess, and repair. + Ability to build control panels from layout to final installation, including all control wiring and hooking up to main power. + Ability to work with minor supervision. + Ability to perform mechanical jobs such as changing bearings, belts, pulleys, and oil in machinery. + Experience in hydraulics, air compressors, PLCs, and welding is a plus but not required. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong troubleshooting skills to accurately track down problems. + Experience with high voltage (480v). + Ability to pull wire and run conduit. + Own basic tools/toolbox, with specialty tools provided on site. + Willingness to learn about the job and equipment on site, with a desire to grow and develop within the company. **Why Work Here?** We offer a laid-back atmosphere and team-oriented environment with low stress.
