Maintenance Technician
**We are immediately interviewing and hiring for a Maintenance Technician here in Syracuse!** **If you're interested please apply and we will reach out immediately.** **Shift:** **2nd shift: 2pm-10:30pm M-F** **3rd shift: 10pm-6:30am M-F** **Pay: $26.00 - $30.00** **Job Description** We are actively seeking industrial maintenance candidates responsible for performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on production and supporting equipment within a large dairy production facility. **Responsibilities** + Carry out tasks issued by the maintenance shift supervisor. + Troubleshoot support system problems using basic problem-solving skills. + Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment assigned to you. + Complete all standard work orders and preventative maintenance tasks assigned and submit all completed paperwork. + Record information in required logbooks for systems history and continuous improvement. + Record any parts/components used for repairs to ensure replenishment of On-Hand balances are maintained, and properly dispose of used parts/components. + Ensure quality standards set by the company are adhered to after PM’s and/or repairs are made to equipment. + Perform machine repairs based upon a maintenance call or an assignment in a timely fashion. + Maintain cleanliness of the areas you are working in; properly dispose of the parts/components you have replaced. + Promote a safe and harmonious work environment with adherence to company policy, procedures, safety, and health regulations. + Maintain compliance with S.Q.F. Certification. **Essential Skills** + Industrial maintenance + Mechanical + Electrical + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Repair + Preventive maintenance + Welding + 3 phase + Ammonia refrigeration + Machining + Dairy + PLC troubleshooting **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma + Must be a minimum of 18 years of age + Technical training or electrical/mechanical technician degree, or verifiable comparable experience + Food manufacturing background is a plus + Must be able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (electric/manual) + Experience with programmable logic controllers, instruments, and controls is preferred + Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the mechanical field; working with boilers, ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, air handling units, and HVAC is a plus **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values safety, continuous improvement, and a harmonious work environment.
