**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**

**Pay: $20.00 - $26.00/hr**
**Shift:**
1st - 7am - 3pm - M-F
2nd Hybrid - 12pm - 8pm M-F
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties and responsibilities on the production floor. You will ensure all equipment is set up and functioning properly, respond to maintenance calls, and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Oversee the production floor.
+ Respond to maintenance calls and complete preventative maintenance checklists.
+ Set up equipment in automatic machines, manual operations, and other work areas according to work instructions.
+ Change punches and other tooling as necessary to maintain production.
+ Repair manufacturing equipment following company protocols.
+ Identify and provide solutions to recurring problems to reduce or eliminate their occurrence.
+ Maintain inventory quantities for tracked items.
+ Follow safety procedures and report any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
+ Work closely with the Bagging, Roll Making, and Molding departments on workflow.
+ Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and Scheduling on the status of manufacturing orders.
+ Perform basic quality assessments and complete related paperwork.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED required
+ 2+ years of experience in related fields or training (a combination of both is preferred but not required)
+ Optic/vision inspection experience is a plus
+ Familiarity with PLCs

**Work Environment**
While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally, you may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, and explosive materials. All personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided when dealing with chemicals or explosive materials. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rensselaer, New York.
