Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Responsibilities** + Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment and machinery used in the processing of chemical substances. + Clean and maintain plant maintenance areas and equipment regularly. + Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments as needed or requested. + Attend and participate in plant, shift, safety, and quality meetings. + Lead and assist in the fabrication, modification, and implementation of new and existing equipment and machinery. + Review machinery and equipment specifications and formulations for proper usage. + Coordinate the maintenance and daily operation of all physical working elements of the facility. + Coordinate the quality review of equipment operation and production outcomes. + Coordinate and participate in the seasonal preparation of appropriate equipment and systems. + Obtain and use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as instructed. + Participate in and complete other projects and tasks as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 3 years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipment and PLCs. + Ability to function independently in a team environment with minimal supervision. + Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and the appropriate handling and disposal of such products. + Basic welding, plumbing, electrical, and construction experience and knowledge. + PLC circuitry, equipment, processes, programming, and troubleshooting. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery. + Knowledge of basic manufacturing safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. + Working knowledge of polymer or rubber manufacturing specifications and raw materials. + Current forklift license or certification. + Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. + Demonstrated decision-making and project management capabilities. **Why Work Here?** We provide opportunities for technical training and certification in welding, automation controls, electrical, or similar trades.
