**Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to assist in the safe, efficient, and responsible operation of our facility in its mission to produce safe and legal products. The ideal candidate will be able to perform complete line changeovers, troubleshoot machinery malfunctions, and carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on all line and processing machinery without instructions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform complete line changeovers (fillers, seamers, crowners, cappers, etc.) and adjust all equipment to specified tolerances without instruction.
+ Troubleshoot machinery for malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, & pneumatic) without instructions.
+ Perform preventative maintenance and repair on all line and processing machinery without instructions, including lubrication and heat/vibration analysis.
+ Maintain and repair all production supporting equipment (glycol system, compressed air, lubrication, and chemical distribution systems) without instructions.
+ Weld (Arc, TIG, and MIG) as required.
+ Troubleshoot minor parameter issues within a PLC.
+ Minimize downtime by using extended measures/thinking when troubleshooting equipment.
+ Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders, including recording all utilized part numbers for inventory purposes.
+ Communicate effectively and completely all relevant maintenance and production-related information to the relieving shift.
+ Minimize downtime, improve efficiency, and assist in training other maintenance personnel.
+ Communicate with production during periods of downtime.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
+ Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
+ Knowledge of schematic and blueprint reading.
+ Experience with 3-phase motors and manual mill/lathe operations.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
+ Ability to weld (Arc, TIG, and MIG).
+ Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques.
+ Ability to work without supervision.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Adherence to safety guidelines in a food/beverage industry.
+ Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
+ Ability to maintain adherence to Food Safety procedures and principles.
+ Ability to stop any production which may be questionable in terms of Food Safety and immediately alert a member of the management team.
+ Capability to complete project work as assigned by a supervisor.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greendale, Indiana
