Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Maintenance Technician with entry- to mid-level experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and setting up a variety of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure smooth production operations. This position is ideal for individuals with a positive attitude, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
-Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment (e.g., motors, drives, belts, conveyors, fillers, cappers).
-Line Setups: Assist with the setup and configuration of production lines, ensuring equipment is operational and properly calibrated for production needs.
-Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, using hand tools, power tools, and electronic testing devices.
-Electrical Systems: Work with electrical systems, including voltages from 24V DC to 480V three-phase power. Ability to install and repair electrical components and wiring.
-Production Support: Provide support to production teams by ensuring equipment is running efficiently and minimizing downtime. Assist with any production-related issues, particularly during the second shift.
-Safety Compliance: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA safety standards, and company protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
-Documentation: Record maintenance and repair work performed, and maintain accurate logs and batch records.
Collaboration: Work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure quality results and continuous improvements in production processes.

Desired Background/Skills:

Qualifications:
-Entry-Level (0-2 years of experience):
-Basic mechanical skills (e.g., knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and simple mechanical troubleshooting).
-Familiarity with electrical and pneumatic systems.
-Strong willingness to learn, with a positive attitude and a teachable spirit.

Mid-Level (2-3 years of experience):
-Hands-on experience with setting up and maintaining production lines, including conveyors, filling machines, and capping systems.
-Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
-Familiarity with inkjet printers and related certifications (such as Odin 10X) is a plus.
-Experience working with industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Certifications:
-PLC Certification (preferred)
-Electrical Certification (preferred)
-Inkjet Coding Certification is a plus
