**Hiring a Maintenance Technician near Avon, IN** $26-$30/hr | Brownsburg, IN **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various equipment and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. **Responsibilities** + Mechanical troubleshooting (80% of the maintenance work) + Perform 2-3 repairs per night, including replacing parts and conducting preventative maintenance (PMs) + Work with equipment and components such as motors, chains, sprockets, sensors, and switches + Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on conveyor systems, lift trucks, powered equipment, dock plates, truck restraints, and overhead doors + Conduct repairs and modifications or PMs to facility electrical and lighting systems, as well as HVAC systems including office and warehouse units + Occasional building and grounds maintenance using provided tools, including basic hand tools and power tools **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in Distribution or Industrial Maintenance + Experience troubleshooting conveyor systems, including sorting or machinery + Electrical troubleshooting experience with 480V, 3-phase systems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with HVAC systems (non-refrigeration) + Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and various maintenance equipment + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a climate-controlled and great work environment. Employees have access to a jam room with musical instruments for relaxation and creativity. **Work Environment** + This role offers two shifts: M-F from 4 PM to 12:30 AM (second shift) with a $1 shift differential, and a weekend shift (Friday to Sunday, 12-hour shifts from 6 AM to 6:30 PM) with a $2.50 shift differential. + Initial training will be conducted on the first shift during the week (M-TH from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM) for 4-5 months, depending on experience.
