Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair on Material Handling Systems within a fully automated fulfillment center. The role involves PLC troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and acting as a liaison for internal and external resources. This position requires strong project management skills, effective communication skills, self-direction, and the ability to multitask and deliver results in a dynamic environment. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and components. + Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase motors (480v), integrated systems with PLCs, and Allen Bradley PLCs. + Handle high-speed automated sorting machines, VFDs, photo eyes, sensors, robotic equipment, and gantry cranes. + Manage 30 miles of conveyors, 4 sorters, and 12 cranes. + Update computer status using TMI Systems software for PLC PM programs. + Conduct PLC troubleshooting and root cause analysis. + Collaborate with team members to offer solutions and maintain a culture of quality and reliability. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution equipment. + Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems using PLCs for automation. + Strong troubleshooting and repair skills, including root cause analysis. + Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams. + Experience with PLCs, servos, VFDs, sensors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and repair. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Experience with hand tools and maintenance techniques. + Effective communication skills and project management abilities. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers the chance to work with advanced automation systems in a climate-controlled environment. Enjoy good benefits and a supportive work environment. **Work Environment** The role is based in a distribution center with a team of 30 multi-craft technicians at various levels, including General, Sr, PLC, and Master Technicians. The culture emphasizes teamwork, communication, and reliability. Technicians are required to wear steel-toe boots, jeans, and a plain shirt.
