Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Weekly Pay : $27- $30/hr** **Job Description** We are a manufacturing company that makes products out of reclaimed rubber, such as rubber flooring. We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic. This is primarily a mechanical maintenance job, with light electrical maintenance responsibilities. For major or high-level electrical issues, we call in a specialist. Your role is vital in supporting our Machine Operators and ensuring efficient operations to meet customer demands. Your innovative mindset and hands-on expertise will be invaluable in enhancing machine performance. This position also involves maintaining the facilities and knowing who to call for any big HVAC or technical fixes. **Responsibilities** + Repair and maintain machinery, mechanical, and electrical equipment using hand and power tools, precision measuring, or testing devices. + Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustment or repair. + Dismantle machinery or equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts. + Replace defective parts with new parts or repair or reproduce parts. + Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunctions. + Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all equipment. + Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment following a preventive maintenance schedule. + Perform basic fabrication and repair of necessary equipment. + Conduct testing, diagnostic, maintenance, and troubleshooting work on machine tools and mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Diagnose plant power distribution systems. + Apply electrical knowledge to research and identify electrical components and parts. + Maintain and repair physical structures of buildings and grounds, including snow removal, basic plumbing, HVAC, and basic carpentry. + Install, troubleshoot, and upgrade all equipment. + Install air/water/hydraulic piping or any additional systems required for proper machine installation with direction from senior Technicians, engineering, or supervision. + Read blueprints, schematic drawings, and diagrams to properly and safely install machinery. + Assemble and test operate machines to verify safe working order and proper functionality. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma/GED required; Associates degree in a related field of study preferred. + 3+ years of experience and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine shop tools and equipment within a similar working environment. + Ability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. + Experience with troubleshooting and replacement of electrical components including AC and DC motor drive controls. + Ability to use multi-meter, amp-meter, oscilloscope, and other electrical test tools. + Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Ability to work well with a team as well as independently. + Basic computer skills (email, PM schedules, work orders, etc.). + Ability to work in a stressful environment (loud, dirty, confined spaces, etc.). + Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a 24,900lb box truck or flatbed with manual or automatic transmission. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with welding. + Knowledge of industrial maintenance. + Experience with 3-phase electrical systems. + Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. **Why Work Here?** Opportunity to transform an operation and build out a facility. The position is based in a smaller manufacturing plant in Mexia, TX. The company makes products out of reclaimed rubber.
