**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
In this role, responsibilities include adhering to safety and food safety regulations, enhancing the Preventative Maintenance program to reduce downtime, and troubleshooting and repairing various systems including PLCs, electrical, and mechanical systems. Duties also involve collaborating with multiple departments, organizing the maintenance shop using 5S methodology, and learning the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
• Responsible for maintaining and PM's of baking equipment & conveyor systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mixing equipment, extruders, servos, VFDs, sensors, feed control systems, refrigeration, proofer, conveyors, boilers, silos and oven equipment.
• Build, replace, rotate, inspect and change parts of industrial machines.
• Connect power to machines, install motors and rewiring of motors per blueprints and schematics.
• Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies and forklifts.
• Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum material.
• Run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines.
• Fabricate parts using drill press, cutting out holes, and making parts.

This is a permanent position.
**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
**Work Environment**
6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 3-4 days a week. Typical work week includes (3) 12-hour shifts and always includes Fridays. If nobody volunteers, shifts are mandated starting with the lowest seniority. The 4th shift is also a 12-hour shift. Union environment. The plant environment is hot and fast-paced, typically 10-20 degrees warmer than the outside temperature due to industrial ovens.
