**Maintenance Technician** Currently hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Joliet, IL area. Hiring immediately. **Pay:** $25-$33/HR **Shift:** 2nd Shift (M-F, 2:30pm-11:30pm). OT would be working till midnight. Occasional Saturday's. Job Description: + Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on various machines including ultra sonic welding machines, ABB robotics, and more + Conduct 80% reactive repairs and 20% preventative maintenance + Use Allen Bradley PLC to troubleshoot for repairs + Fabricate parts using presses, surface grinders, and manual mills + Perform MIG and STICK welding to repair guard rails on machines + Observe Lock Out/Tag Out procedures while working on equipment + Collaborate with engineers on process improvements + Handle general facilities maintenance as needed **Essential Skills:** + 3-5 years of experience preferred; open to training candidates with a good work history + Mechanical skills + Experience performing preventative maintenance in a manufacturing or distribution environment + Fabrication experience using grinders, presses, etc. + Experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + MIG/STICK welding experience + Experience working with Allen Bradley PLCs to troubleshoot repairs + Electrical troubleshooting skills **Why Work Here?** We offer full benefits to permanent associates including Blue Cross Blue Shield for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. The facility is approximately 300,000 sq ft and includes the manufacturing floor, warehouse, maintenance area, and general office space. The company is non-union, climate-controlled, and slightly dirtier than a typical distribution center. Candidates must be comfortable working around loud machinery and within a manufacturing environment.
