**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
As one of our Maintenance Technicians, you'll play a key role in managing the maintenance and repair of our production equipment, including poppers, kettle-coaters, and bagging machines, as well as our 25,000 square foot facility with HVAC systems. Your electrical and mechanical expertise will be crucial in ensuring everything runs efficiently. You'll collaborate closely with our Quality Assurance Manager to support our maintenance of SQF Level 2 certification by maintaining the highest standards for equipment and facility maintenance. Additionally, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts to automate our production processes, evaluating and recommending new equipment to drive innovation and efficiency.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain and repair production equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
+ Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external resources to complete tasks and projects.
+ Implement automation solutions to enhance production and packaging.
+ Manage and enhance our preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime.
+ Coordinate with contractors and facility management for repairs and installations.
+ Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the maintenance team.
+ Handle additional duties as needed to support business goals.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
+ Facility maintenance.
+ PLC programming.
+ Proficiency in predictive maintenance and OSHA standards.
+ Forklift experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ At least 3 years of experience in a consumer products or food manufacturing environment with a strong electrical background.
+ Experience with vertical form fill seal machines is a plus.

**Work Environment**
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia.
