**Maintenance Technician** Currently hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Minooka, IL area. Hiring immediately. **Shift** : Weekend/Overnight shift. Saturday through Monday 5:00PM – 5:30AM **Job Description:** The Maintenance Technician repairs and conducts preventative maintenance on material handling and building equipment in a safe and efficient manner. + Utilize established PM and repair policies and procedures to return equipment to fully operational status. + Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair and maintain equipment. + Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious. + Work as a team member with operations and other technicians to support the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment. + Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions (e.g., work orders, asset/labor history, inventory usage). + Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates). + Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment. + Perform daily preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic and electrical equipment) according to procedures. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Experience in electrical, mechanical, and preventative maintenance + Proficiency with hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and PLC troubleshooting + Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals + Minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment) **Work Environment** The work environment includes exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, or drafty conditions. Employees may work at heights, move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and work in areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection.
