**Maintenance Technician - Immediately Hiring - Career Opportunity - Escondido** **Job Description** + Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facilities machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals. + This includes mechanical equipment such as engines, electrical motors, natural gas burners, conveyor systems, and mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to meet production schedules. **Responsibilities** + Observe electronic, electrical, mechanical, and gas devices in operation and listen to their sounds to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair cause of trouble or breakdown. + Test new or repaired parts or equipment to assure operational service. + Diagnose programmable logic controllers up to initializing a new program. + Dismantle devices and/or equipment to gain access to remove, replace, or repair defective or worn parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. + Examine parts to detect imperfections and inspect used and/or new parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices. + Measure equipment compliance with its electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical operating design parameters and know how to obtain those parameters. + Adjust or align functional parts of devices and control instruments using necessary hand tools, power tools, meters, or related equipment to resolve mechanical or electrical problems or malfunctions. + Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools. Install special functional structural parts in equipment. Maintain air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to meet production runs. + Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and/or production systems following written job orders. + Assist production personnel in setting up equipment to prepare for a product run. + Perform routine welding repair as required. + Perform duties of a related nature as may be assigned by supervisor. + Be trained and aware of SQF requirements, including but not limited to the reporting of all food safety, quality, and defense issues. **Essential Skills** + Equipment maintenance + Electrical troubleshooting + Pneumatic systems + Mechanical systems + Hydraulic systems + Control panels + Repair and troubleshooting + Preventive maintenance + Industrial electrical maintenance + 3-phase electrical systems + Conveyor systems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 5-10 years of maintenance technician experience + A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant repair experience in a manufacturing environment. **Work Environment** + Large baking manufacturing company with a very hot environment due to ovens running 24/7. + There is a strong smell of baked goods. + The schedule is Sunday-Friday with hours from 1 pm-10 pm and 9 pm-5 am.
