Maintenance Technician
**Position: Maintenance Technician** **Location: University Park, IL** **Salary:** $65K - $73K, based on experience **Shift:** 1st Shift, 6am - 3:30pm + Oversee and complete maintenance and servicing of the facility and equipment. + Coordinate and schedule external contractors. **Major Tasks and Duties:** + Complete contractor compliance and scheduled mechanical maintenance. + Perform daily equipment and site inspections. + Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions. + Provide operational guidance to ensure equipment operates smoothly. + Source external vendors and create purchase orders. + Schedule contractors and ensure safety procedures (lock out/tag out). + Support maintenance and tote repair. + Delegate maintenance duties. + Attend necessary training. + Comply with hygiene, safety, and quality policies. + Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, GMP’s, and HACCP requirements. **Knowledge/Skills & Experience:** + Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent. + Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting. + Millwright license or demonstrated experience and certifications. + Ability to lift up to 25kg/50lbs and stand for long periods. + Willing to work in a dusty and noisy environment. + Certifications in Forklift, Reach Truck & Scissor Lift. + Boiler experience.
