Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the production area. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing and fixing issues that arise with production machinery, which are often due to operator error. Tasks can range from simple adjustments to comprehensive machine overhauls. You will work with photo-eyes, sensors, gears, motor boxes, VFDs, servo drives, and pumps, all controlled by HMI touch screens connected to Allen Bradley PLCs. Your time will be divided equally between mechanical and electrical repairs, and you will also perform TIG/MIG welding on stainless steel and custom fabrication work. Additionally, you will be involved in maintaining new automated equipment, such as packaging and shrink-wrapping machines, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting. This position requires experience in working with and leading a team, particularly on the night shift. **Responsibilities** + Fixing and adjusting machinery, often caused by operator error. + Repairing and maintaining photo-eyes, sensors, gears, motor boxes, VFDs, servo drives, and pumps. + Performing mechanical and electrical repairs, each comprising 50% of your duties. + Conducting TIG/MIG welding on stainless steel and custom fabrication work. + Troubleshooting electrical issues on new automated equipment. + Working as a lead on the night shift, managing and coordinating with team members. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experience. + Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic components. + Conveyor maintenance expertise. + Ability to read technical prints. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with steam systems. + Food or packaging industry experience. **Why Work Here?** We offer great benefits and the unique opportunity to work in an environment that smells like candy. Proper PPE, including beard and hair nets, is mandatory, and clothing must be free of plastic buttons. Jewelry is limited to plain wedding bands without stones. The production maintenance department consists of 13 team members across three shifts. Your hours will be from 6 PM to 6 AM, following a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off.
