Chemours is seeking a Maintenance Machinist Technician to join our growing Washington Works team! This position will report directly to the Site Maintenance and Contractor Manager at our Washington, WV location.

The Machinist Technician role will support the site in the fabrication and repair of all machine parts, and repair of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment. This role will work with the area maintenance leadership to ensure proper procedures and job methods are being followed to complete work.

The responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to the following:

Operating and programming a HAAS 3 Axis CNC Mill.

Operating and programming a Bridgeport manual Mill.

Operating and programming a HAAS & Bridgeport EZ Path CNC Lathe.

Operating and programming Clausing surface grinder

Operating and programming OMAX water jet machine

Basic Sheetmetal work. (hydraulic and mechanical shear, Power and mechanical Brake, Etc.)

Setting up machines and creating fixtures for individual parts.

Determining appropriate speeds and feeds for various materials and tools.

Reading blueprints.

Verifying parts using machine shop measuring instruments (e.g., OD/ID micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, scales).

Applying basic math and geometry skills.

Utilizing programming software (e.g., OMAX and MasterCam.

The following is required for this role:

Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience

High School or GED equivalent education

Proficiency with all types of CNC equipment.

Previous experience in assembly or fabrication using blueprints.

Time management and prioritization skill

The following preferred in this role:

Leadership ability, primarily through influence management

Effective communication and presentation skills (both oral and written)

Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with ability to influence managers, peers and team

A technical degree in Machine Shop is preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

$33.86 - $52.90

Annual Bonus Target:
