Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Maintenance Technicians at this facility perform a variety of preventive and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of various plants. Key areas of focus include hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, pressure sensors, wiring of PLC/machines, motors, and various equipment ranging from 24v to 480v. Additionally, technicians will engage in preventive maintenance of furnaces during structured shutdowns, as well as welding and fabricating equipment to maintain optimal plant functionality.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and reactive maintenance on hydraulic systems, including simple systems and complex 70-ton presses.Maintain and test valves, pumps, and pressure sensors, ensuring systems operate under a vacuum with constant pressure.Wire PLC/machines, motors, and various equipment with voltage ranges from 24v to 480v.Conduct preventive maintenance of furnaces during structured shutdowns.Perform welding and fabrication of equipment to support plant operations.Troubleshoot various equipment throughout the plant, focusing on valves, pressure sensors, and hydraulic equipment.Read and interpret blueprints and wire diagrams, including hydraulic prints, to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingPreventive maintenanceBlueprint readingHydraulics maintenanceElectrical troubleshootingAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret wire diagrams and hydraulic printsExperience in welding and fabricatingWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment varies depending on the plant. None of the jobs are climate-controlled. Some positions are in the furnace department, which can be very hot, while others are in areas with outside temperatures. All work areas are roofed and maintain high safety standards. Technicians work 7-7 shifts on a 223 schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72388.00 - $95572.00
