Key Responsibilities:
Performing preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and perform repairs as needed to ensure minimal downtime.Read and interpret blueprints while maintaining equipment.Working independently or within a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.Other responsibilities may including pipefitting, welding, or fabricating various materials.Candidates must have a journeyman card OR at least 8 years of hands-on maintenance machine repair experience in a manufacturing environment. If you have a journeyman card, you can take a mechanical assessment test at 60 days of employment, which may increase your pay to $32.85/hr. Non-journeyman maintenance technicians have opportunities for pay increases after 90 and 135 days. There is a 60-day probation period before joining the union. These positions are open due to a retirement wave.
