Job Description
The maintenance technician will be responsible for machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and installations within a high-volume, continuous run working environment. The role involves performing predictive and preventative maintenance, including lubrication, reading and understanding mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams, AC/DC, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams. The technician will also troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical components, electrical controls, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic equipment. Additionally, the role includes performing equipment fabrication (welding arc and gas), installation of conduit, and inspection and repair of mechanical devices and parts.
ResponsibilitiesPerform predictive and preventative maintenance within the facility.Conduct PM's, including lubrication.Read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams, AC/DC, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.Troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical components and electrical controls.Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.Perform equipment fabrication, including welding arc and gas.Install conduit.Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.Repair or replace defective parts.Install special functional and structural parts in devices.Lubricate and clean parts.Start devices to test their performance.Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.Essential SkillsElectromechanical troubleshooting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge or practical application experience in electrical or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to work additional and flexible hours, including weekends as needed.Willingness and ability to work all shifts depending on company business needs.Additional Skills & QualificationsSuccessful completion of a Skilled Trades (Non-Technical) online test before going full-time.Why Work Here?
