Job Overview:
As the Maintenance Technician, you will perform general maintenance tasks including general clean up, painting, building and equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure the systems are properly maintained and operational and the community is kept safe and clean.
Compensation: $20+ per hour, based on experience
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical painting, drywall repair, pressure washing) on buildings, systems, common areas and amenities Ensure the community pond is inspected daily, with water chemical levels properly maintained, debris removed, and any pump or motor issues promptly diagnosed and addressed Performs weekly roof maintenance and clean up to clear debris Completes work orders within 10 days of submission Conduct routine inspections Complete preventative maintenance tasks Diagnose issues and make necessary repairs Complete grounds work to keep the outside of the community safe, clean and free of debris Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas and amenities by picking up trash and debris Maintain tools and equipment Complete maintenance reports, documentation, records and task lists Respond to emergencies as needed which may include weekends, holidays, or overnight Assist in setting up tables, chairs and supplies for community meetings and eventsSkills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a maintenance technician Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management Able to use tools, equipment, and chemicals safely Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Superior manual dexterity skills Organized, with the ability to prioritize and adjust to incoming demandsEducation and Experience:
2+ years of maintenance experience CPO Certification is a plusPhysical Requirements:
Able to safely lift 50 pounds Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time Able to Work will be primarily outdoors Able to work in various weather conditions such as heat, rain, cold, wind, etc.Work Location: Sun Village Condos, 17300 N Sun Village Pkwy Surprise, AZ 85374
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 6a – 2:30p. Hours are subject to change based on seasonal needs.
