The Opportunity:

Summary
The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic II, under increasingly limited supervision, performs a variety of maintenance and repair duties in process equipment, support equipment, building, facilities, and utilities.Essential Functions of the Job

The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic II has attained or is gaining full proficiency in specific disciplines associated with the job functions noted below.  The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic II works under moderate supervision.  The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic II shows potential to execute more complex tasks and contributes to projects successfully. 

The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance and repair work to prevent or correct breakdown of machinery, operational equipment or in-facility service of a generalized or specialized nature.Under increasing limited supervision, the Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic maintains and repairs systems of increasing complexity including but not limited to pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, refrigeration, general HVAC, electrical, instrumentation, controls, rotating machinery, and fluid delivery systemsThe Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic works from increasingly complex drawings, blueprints, manuals and verbal/written instructions on installation, repair, replacement and/or maintenance involving machinery, plumbing & piping, and in some cases electrical.Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic sets up and operates all tools, instruments, and equipment necessary to perform work assigned.The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic will also initiate purchase orders for parts, machines or contracted services.The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic is increasingly self-motivated and proactive in identifying and correcting mechanical and safety issues.

The Reliability and Maintenance Mechanic II will have gained full proficiency in 1 or more of the core skills to perform the above work include, but not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of process equipment (mixers and reactors of varying types, distillation/devolatization units, rubber processing mills, extrusion equipment, and others), facility maintenance and repair, engineering drawing interpretation, fluid power and control systems (pneumatic and hydraulic), vacuum and vent systems (dry screw, liquid ring, vane, vacuum boosters, O2 sensors, scrubbers), process heating and cooling (steam, heat transfer oil, cooling tower, refrigeration, heat exchangers), and electrical and control systems, heavy machinery rigging (>1000 lb), basic math and geometry

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required

Relevant professional certifications desirable

Typically possesses 2 to 5 years of relevant experience

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$42,000.00 - $70,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
