Maintenance Technician

We are now hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team!  We are looking for individuals who have experience in a manufacturing facility with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Must communicate effectively with co-workers and work in a team environment. Individuals must also have a high standard for safety and a background in industrial equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM
Some over time is required

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Perform equipment troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and improvements to increase equipment uptime. Repair electric, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits as needed. 
• Perform maintenance-PMs of all plant equipment.
• Perform all job requirements in a safe manner and adhere to all Chart safety rules and policies
• Attend necessary safety and environmental training as scheduled
• Support and recommend safety & environmental improvements and identify hazards
• Excellent troubleshooting & repair skills
• View and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic system drawings and schematics
• Perform other tasks as required to support production
• Perform all other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Voltages are: 480vac, 208vac, 120vac, 24vdc, 12vdc

Your Education Should Be… 2 yr. Associate's degree or diploma in Engineering, Technology, Technical Discipline or Electrician preferred. High School Diploma/GED required. Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation. Possible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes. Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional crawling. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and occasionally heavier (50-60 lbs.) with assistance Frequent pushing, pulling, and handling of materials as well as repetitive hand movements. Your Professional Experience Should Be… 3 years of maintenance experience in an automated production facility is desirable. Electrical background and prior training preferred. PLC experience for troubleshooting is a plus. Maintenance Electrician license or Journeyman’s or Masters license for the state of MN preferred Excellent troubleshooting & repair skills. Knowledge and experience with Equipment Lock Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), as well as Arc Flash. Hands on experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance. Hands on experience with mechanical maintenance and PM’s, as well as able to work from heights. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good teamwork skills. Maintain accurate records in the CMMS with regard to inspections and preventative/predictive maintenance and inventory of spare parts, and consumables. View and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic system drawings and schematics. Maintain paper and electronic files of equipment manuals, schematics, and other documentation. Ability to foster a productive positive attitude and work as a team in an urgent environment. Must be safety conscious and abide by all workplace policies and procedures.
