Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist in the preparation and implementation of the General Utilities preventative maintenance schedule. You will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment, including boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors. Additionally, you will monitor the functioning of general utilities, order and replace parts as needed, and communicate any operational changes to managers and other personnel. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining HVAC systems, assisting in the maintenance of fire prevention systems, documenting maintenance activities in systems such as CMMS, and aiding in new hire training and cross-training efforts.

Work Environment
The facility operates 24/7, with maintenance technicians on each shift. The team is responsible for all preventative maintenance (PM) and shutdown work. You will work on a rotating shift schedule of 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, etc., resulting in working every other weekend. Shifts are from 6 PM to 6 AM or 6AM to 6pm. New hires will train on the day shift for a couple of months. The dress code allows jeans but no sweatpants or t-shirts. The facility can get warm due to the use of massive dryers, and candidates should be comfortable with this environment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) includes steel-toed boots, hair nets, and beard nets if necessary. As a GMP facility, no jewelry is allowed. The general environment is 85+ degrees Fahrenheit with 85% humidity in most areas.
