Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be placed in either the Labeling, Processing, Facilities, or Cooker department, depending on your skill set. Each department has a different climate, ranging from controlled, hot, to cold. The facility is kept clean and operates under FDA regulations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance on batching equipment, mixers, tanks, cook kettles, pumps, valves, conveyors, belts, motors, and packaging equipment.Conduct mechanical maintenance, with 90% of tasks being mechanical and 10% being electrical (involving sensors, switches, and changing out motors).Execute reactive maintenance and document work orders as required by FDA regulations.Perform daily preventive maintenance checklists.Essential Skills2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience.Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.Comfortable working long-term 2nd shift (12:00pm - 8:00pm) or 3rd shift (8:00pm - 4:00am).Possession of two certificates or a technical degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertificates in maintenance technician, maintenance mechanic, machine repair, mechanical troubleshooting, or electrical fields.Experience in preventive maintenance.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This FDA-regulated facility maintains high cleanliness standards and varies in temperature from hot, cold, to controlled environments. You will need steel-toed boots, a hair net, beard net, ear plugs, and a white or blue coat, adhering to hand washing policies. Annual SQF Training and OSHA safety training are provided. Shifts include 2nd shift (12:00pm - 8:00pm) and 3rd shift (8:00pm - 4:00am) with opportunities for overtime, often working 50+ hours a week, 6-7 days until year-end.
