Position:Maintenance Technician
Department: PSSM
Availability of Position:ASAP
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
Reporting Relationship:Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Housing and Project Coordinator
Salary/Grade: $20 per hour

Responsibilities
About
The Salvation Army, Ivy Residence is a 127 1-bedroom apartment complex facility that houses senior citizens 62 years and older. Ivy Residence is located in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia. Ivy Residence is a facility that is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Description of Position:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and condition of Ivy Residence I and II and surrounding property. This will include a daily routine cleaning schedule of all common areas, trash removal, inspection of units / property, complete work orders, painting, preventative maintenance and care and upkeep.
Qualifications
Requirements:
+ Experience in multifamily maintenance and experience involving affordable housing, senior housing, or special needs housing.
+ Must be able to keep information in a confidential and secure fashion.
+ Must have High School Diploma or GED and at least two years building maintenance experience.
+ Must be a self-starter who can work in an environment with multiple changing work priorities.
+ Good verbal and writing communication skills.
+ Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
+ Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
+ Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
