Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain steady and compliant operation of high-tech automated equipment and drive continual improvement through electrical/PLC technology. You will troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing and/or packaging equipment at required operating levels by performing proper preventive maintenance and major overhauls to meet departmental production standards on equipment in several lines. You will also maintain and troubleshoot various types of filling and packaging equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), operator interfaces, variable frequency drives, servomotors, and encoders. Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair tasks, such as working with starters, fuses, relays, wire blocks, wiring, and breakers, are part of your daily responsibilities. You will be tied to one department rather than having to cover the entire plant, allowing you to become very familiar and comfortable with maintenance tasks. Each year, after one year of tenure, technicians receive a new pair of boots. Additionally, you will receive 12 annual paid holidays, 5 paid sick days, 2 paid personal days, and company-paid Short Term Disability and Life & AD&D Insurances. **Work Environment** You will be working in a very large manufacturing environment. Depending on the room, there may be strong smells of medicine flavoring, hair dye, etc. The facility is very clean, well-lit, and climate controlled. The dress code requires PPE, including scrubs, safety shoes, ear plugs, hair nets, safety glasses, and ear plugs. The 3rd shift runs from 11pm-7:05am (with a 20-minute break and a 35-minute break) Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required. The 2nd shift runs from 3pm-11:05pm.
