Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing mechanical and electrical repairs and troubleshooting on all plant equipment, including plastic extrusion lines, saws, pressure testers, pullers, water and vacuum tanks, extruders, and plumbing. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC-based control systems and be proficient in using SAP Maintenance Module software.
ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electrical repairs and troubleshooting on all plant equipment.Install and setup barrels and screws on all extruders.Complete welding and fabrication work as needed.Manage process repairs, improvements, and capital projects.Use SAP Maintenance Module software to generate work orders, track labor, and consume materials/parts.Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems and make component adjustments and/or repairs.Work with electrical systems up to 480v.Use a multimeter for various tasks including swapping motors and working with AC/DC power.Essential SkillsExperience with PLC troubleshooting.Electrical troubleshooting skills.Mechanical troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of 480v 3-phase systems.Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.Proficiency with multimeters.1+ year of electrical maintenance on PLCs and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectro-mechanical degree preferred.Experience with preventive maintenance.Skills in welding and fabrication.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00

Annual Discretionary Profit Sharing Bonus (up to 5% of annual base earnings at the discretion of Westlake based on company profitability paid out in December)
